High Summer

Art Opening

Saturday, April 22, 2017, 2pm - 4pm

10% Off All Work by Kathleen McDonough!

From 2 pm- 4 pm, Kathleen will share her inspirations and discuss the techniques she uses in creating her stunning landscapes, scenes from suburban streets, and spectacular skies.  Light refreshments will be served. In addition, April 22-23, all works by Kathleen McDonough will be discounted 10%.

Living in the neighboring town of Carlisle and working as a landscape painter, Kathleen is constantly in awe of the beauty that surrounds her. “The ever changing light throughout the seasons fills me with a sense of peacefulness and spirituality when seen in nature.”  She feels compelled to capture those emotions through the colors she uses, the shapes and textures she observes and a strong composition. Whether it’s a sky full of clouds at daybreak or a stand of trees in a field at day’s end, she expresses her intention to the viewer as a sense of place and timelessness.  Kathleen believes that “an appreciation of the beauty that surrounds us is seen when we decide to take a moment and look.” You are invited to the gallery to  take your own moment to look.

Having studied at both Endicott College in Beverly, MA, and the Montserrat College of Art, Kathleen had her first one person show in 1986.  Her work has been accepted in numerous juried exhibits over the years, including Zullo Gallery in Medfield, Powers Gallery in Acton, the Concord Art Association, and Bayview Gallery in Camden, ME. Her work is included in collections worldwide.

 "Nourished by Nature"

Victoria Elbroch

Artist Opening - May 20, 2017

Victoria Elbroch’s latest work is inspired and nourished by her love of nature and adventure. She is irresistibly drawn to ancient trees encountered in world travels, and especially to the resilience and symbolism they represent.  She feels fortunate to be in the autumnal, dispersal stage of her life span with time to wander and appreciate but also push the limits, taking risks while making art.
